Why is ZIIP Halo my favorite device for anti aging?
Simply because I have never used a device (or facial for that matter) that gives my face such a pronounced effect when it comes to glow, lifting, and anti-puffiness. And since I am all for natural beauty and anti aging, this tool is genuinely one of my top recommendations.
I’ve never tried botox, fillers, or any other injectables. And I never will for several reasons. Instead, I focus on natural anti aging methods, that helps my skin and face to stay younger for real. Alongside sleep, diet, sunscreen, and lifestyle, ZIIP has become a key part of my skin care routine, And it has for sure meant a lot for my almost 46-year-old-skin.
The last couple of years have been the biggest challenge for my skin, since I have slept extremely little since becoming a busy mother of two small children. The best time of my life without a doubt! But a big strain on my face which is so dependent on sleep. Thank god for my Ziip, because this little device has really helped counteract most of the negative effects that a lack of sleep has on the skin.
There are other microcurrent devices on the market, and I have tried several. None of them offer the range of treatment programs and diverse waveforms that ZIIP provides. This matters because the waveform frequency is just as crucial as the microcurrent strength when it comes to results. Learn more about the technology here.

Review of the latest program updates
Ziip offers a variety of programs for various purposes. And the latest upgrade contains a whole 17 different programs. Some shorter and some longer, and as always you can build different combinations that suit your specific need.
Some programs have been upgraded, even though they have the same name as before. Some are simply renamed in order to be more easy to understand. And some are whole new!
Just as before, all of the programs have instruction videos.
Let’s go through them all:
4 Minute Facial
Its former name was The Lift. A short and intense program that combines microcurrent with nanocurrent (80% microcurrent and 20% nanocurrent). Giving your face an immediate lift and glow, as well as a boost in collagen production. It should not be used close to the eye though, but otherwise it can be used all over.
Lymphatic Drainage
A new and very popular program that works specifically on lymphatic drainage. In the video you’ll also learn a lot about where the lymphatic nodes are and what they do.
This program is perfect after a night of poor sleep. Or simply if you have the kind of face that easily collects fluid. Making your skin look saggy.
It’is important to note that this program is not intended for the eye area. So for under-eye puffiness, pick the Eyes program.
Clear Skin
This is an upgraded program with a new name. Helping with all kinds of break outs. Short and intense.
Collagen Boost
Previously named Founder’s Favorite, this program uses only nanocurrent. An even gentler current than microcurrent that has been shown to boost collagen and elastin production much more. This is one of my absolute favorite programs!
You can use it all over your face. And/or focus on just specific areas. AND you can use it as much as you want under your eyes. The perfect tool to prevent and treat lines and wrinkles in that delicate area.
Tone Corrector
Formerly called Electric Tone, this four minute program targets dark spots and other pigmentation issues. It can be used on different areas of your face, and I’ve personally seen great results using it to treat my melasma.
Instant Face Lift
This program is an upgraded version of the former Instant Gratification. This name is more appropriate, and the program is super effective in giving you a lift and countering of the whole face. Not to be used under the eyes though since it is so intense. One of my favorites!
The Everything Facial
At 12 minutes, this is the longest treatment on the app, and combines microcurrent with nanocurrent. It works for everyone and gives you a mix of many treatments. Including under eye treatment. Just make sure to follow along with the video since the intensity changes depending on what area you treat.
Skin Barrier Repair
A new program with only nanocurrent. Nanocurrent is excellent for repairing a broken skin barrier (see my post about this issue here) and in this video the founder of ZIIP explains all about it.
Sculpt
This is a program that focuses only on sculpting and contouring, perfect for using on your jaw, cheeks and eye brows. I find it really effective, but I usually use instant face lift instead since I find it gives similar results.
Neck
This program is for the neck only. The skin is quite delicate in that area, and it is important to not go too close to the thyroid. With this program and the instruction video you cannot go wrong!
Heal
A very short program (just one minute) with only nanocurrent. It helps treat scarring and any redness you may have.
Lips
This program is only 2 minutes long, and it gives an amazing plump to the lift. At the same time it works long term to prevent and treat lines around the mouth.
Eyes
One of my absolute favorites! An upgrade that is now even more effective for the under eye area. It works on under eye puffiness, dark circles and crows feet. And you’ll get instructions for how to target these different concerns most effectively.
Pimples
This program is made for treating a single pimple with 60 seconds of intense microcurrent, followed by 30 seconds of gentle nanocurrent to soothe redness. I haven’t needed to try it myself, as I no longer experience breakouts. You can read more about it here.
Plump
This 2-minute program targets hollow or sunken areas of the face, helping to restore lost volume by plumping the skin and boosting circulation. You can repeat the program on the same area multiple times, but no more than three times per session.
Sun Damage
This program is another targeted solution for hyperpigmentation, designed for use on a specific area. Lasting just one minute, it ends with nanocurrent to soothe and calm the skin, similar to the Tone Corrector program.
Jowls
This is a must if you have noticed any sagging at the lower part of the face. It helps lifting and holding the skin in the place it should be. And it truly works! It actually pulls the lower part of your face up in just three minutes, though the best results come with consistent, long-term use.
My ZIIP HALO Routine
At the moment, I start with the 4 Minute Facial, followed by the Instant Face Lift, Eyes, and Collagen Boost. It is a session of less than 20 minutes, and gives an amazing result, especially after a rough night. I try doing this at least two times per week.
What is great with the 4 Minute Facial is that it is also very effective for lymphatic drainage. Especially if you move the device quickly. I explain more about this in this post. I get such good results doing this that I haven’t had the need for doing the program with only lymphatic drainage. I might need it later on though.
The gels I personally use
When using Ziip, you also need a conductive gel (and when using any other microcurrent device for that matter). Without it, the electrical current won’t reach down to the tissues underneath where it is supposed to do its job. A conductive gel will also provide a glide.
Ziip’s conductive gels are the best I’ve ever tried, and they do a lot more than just providing conductivity and glide. Many other gels has actually caused breakouts for me (I share more about that in this post).
My favorite gels are the ones called Golden Gel and Crystal Gel. The first one is their most expensive gel because it has a plethora of anti aging ingredients. And since microcurrent helps ingredients to truly penetrate the skin, this gel is absolutely worth the investment. I also find it very long lasting, and the same is for the Crystal Gel. Golden gel can be a bit intense for those with sensitive skin types though.
Crystal Gel is less expensive and has less ingredients. But the ones it does have gives a crazy glow! It is also organic, vegan, and it suits the most sensitive skin types. I love this gel so much that I have written a separate blog post about it, which you find here.
